Salisbury University's M.B.A. program, in the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business, is No. 30 on this year's list.

Many rainforests worldwide are getting cut down. But Costa Rica has a different narrative. The government pays landowners for every hectare of forest they protect or replenish. Giacomo Delgado, a researcher at ETH Zurich, is studying the program's impacts by putting microphones in different landscapes and analyzing the sounds they pick up. Land in the program was far more similar to healthy, old forests than other pastures. “It’s a strong signal that [the program] is working for biodiversity,” said Laura Villalobos, a Costa Rican economist at º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù.

Dr. Everett McCorvey, director of the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre, founded the American Spiritual Ensemble in 1995 because he feared the music he grew up hearing in churches was in danger of extinction.
